Are you considering treatment abroad? An increasing number of people from the Netherlands are choosing rehabilitation overseas, not to escape, but to step away from daily patterns and create the space needed for sustainable recovery.
The Beekeeper House is a small, residential treatment environment in Chiang Mai, Thailand. We provide professional, integrative care for individuals experiencing addiction, mental health difficulties, and underlying trauma, within a calm, discreet, and carefully structured setting.
For many people in the Netherlands, similar factors influence the search for appropriate care. Waiting times within the healthcare system can be long, personal attention is not always readily available, and it can be difficult to step away from daily triggers and established patterns. There is also often limited opportunity for in-depth trauma work.
Treatment in Thailand offers both physical and psychological distance from familiar surroundings, while maintaining professional care, structure, and clinical oversight. For many individuals, this combination creates the focus and stability needed to engage meaningfully in recovery.
The Beekeeper House is intentionally small. We believe effective treatment is only possible when quality, safety, and personal attention are prioritised.
Our approach is defined by individualised treatment planning, a multidisciplinary clinical team, and an integrated focus on both mental health and addiction. The natural environment of Northern Thailand supports calm and stability, without compromising professional structure or clinical care.
We do not operate fixed, one-size-fits-all programmes. Treatment is carefully adapted to each patient’s background, needs, and capacity.
The Beekeeper House is AACI accredited (American Accreditation Commission International). This international accreditation confirms that our clinical processes, safety standards, and treatment structures meet recognised global benchmarks for healthcare and addiction treatment.
For international patients, AACI accreditation provides additional reassurance regarding professional governance, patient safety, ethical care, and ongoing quality monitoring.
We rarely view addiction as an isolated issue. In practice, it is often linked to underlying psychological, emotional, or trauma-related factors that require careful attention.
Treatment at The Beekeeper House addresses these factors in an integrated way and may include individual therapy, group therapy, trauma-informed interventions, psychoeducation, and body-based or holistic therapies. Structure, rest, and stabilisation are central components of the treatment process.
All care is delivered within a safe, professionally governed framework, with attention to both mental and physical wellbeing.
The Beekeeper House is led by an experienced international team of clinicians and treatment professionals specialising in addiction, mental health, and trauma-informed care. The team is actively involved in clinical delivery, programme quality, and the wellbeing of each patient.

Recovery does not end at discharge. The Beekeeper House offers an award-winning aftercare programme focused on long-term stability and reducing the risk of relapse following treatment.
Aftercare planning begins during the residential stay and supports a structured transition back to everyday life. Where appropriate, we coordinate with external clinicians or support networks to ensure continuity of care after return to the Netherlands. This approach has been recognised for its quality and forms an essential part of the overall treatment journey.
We have extensive experience supporting international patients, including those travelling from the Netherlands. Treatment and support are provided in English, and intake and clinical assessment can be completed online in advance.
We offer guidance with travel and arrival, clear communication about expectations, and careful aftercare planning for return to the Netherlands. Where possible, aftercare is coordinated with clinicians or support networks in Europe.
The Beekeeper House is located in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and operates as a small, residential treatment environment. All treatment is delivered in English, and privacy and discretion are central at every stage of care.
Admission follows a clinically led and structured process. It begins with a confidential initial enquiry, followed by an online intake assessment to evaluate treatment needs and suitability. All admissions are reviewed by the clinical team. Once approved, patients receive clear guidance on preparation, travel, and arrival to ensure a smooth and carefully managed transition into treatment.
Length of stay is programme-dependent and based on individual clinical needs. From first contact through to admission, patients are supported with professionalism, clarity, and sensitivity.
