Robert Common

Robert oversees The Beekeeper Group of companies in Thailand and Cambodia.  He has worked extensively in social work and mental health for over eighteen years. In addition to being a Psychologist and Psychotherapist, he is a Clinical Trauma Specialist.  As such, when the Beekeeper was set up, Robert ensured the ethos of the company was firmly rooted in the clients needs and best interests.  

He has wide reaching experience in working with children, families, and individuals.  His Counselling and Psychotherapy training is extensive, and he takes an interdisciplinary approach to working with clients.  He also has significant experience in working with addictions, grief, GSRD/LGBTQI+, complex trauma, mindfulness and clients with high and complex needs.  He is also Tibetan Sound Bowl instructor.

He is a former Director of Service Provision, and still works part time as an Expert Consultant for the United Nations on issues around violence against children and women. He is also an academic who researches and publishes work around childhood trauma.
